‘Can I Live’ is a track on Anglo-Pakistani rapper Riz Ahmed’s concept album, The Long Goodbye, which details Ahmed’s ‘break-up’ with England due to the country’s growing antipathy towards immigrants in general and Muslims and Pakistanis in general. In this album, Ahmed explores England’s colonial legacy and the irony of nativist sentiments in a country which once ruled half the world.
