A Man Who Finds Jesus

A Man Who Finds Jesus

Alex Blue

In “A Man Who Finds Jesus”, Alex Blue satirizes the concept that a man who accepts Jesus into his life can use it as a blanket way to fix all of the issues in his life and interpersonal relationships. Despite becoming a renewed Christian, he still drinks heavily (even though he claims sobriety), and demands particular things from her.

This song may be inspired by Alex’s ex-boyfriend and previous collaborator Tyler Ward, who she states “became a Christian” and continued having a relationship with her little sister and holding power over her, both in his career and in their religious life. He may also have inspired the previous song on the album, “Right Your Wrongs”
