Wrestling with thoughts of his own hypocrisy, Toby tells the story of how he went from trusting in only himself, even after he became a Christian, to trusting in God.

Since the A-side “Heavenbound” demo was later re-recorded and professionally released with Kevin Max following his addition to the trio, “Always Leaning” remains as DC Talk’s rarest song to have been released.
