“ILYSB,” standing for “I love you so bad,” is a love song, expressing how physically painful it is to have strong feelings for someone. However, the music video twists the song’s seemingly sweet nature into a dark tale of obsession.

In a note, frontman Paul Klein said of the music video:

It would have been the least creative, most predictable thing in the world to run thru a field and fly down the PCH in a convertible with the “love of my life” … hand-in-hand, wind-in-hair. i had an opportunity to flip the script, to beautifully blindside the fan and the critic. i turned “ILYSB” into a tragedy of unhealthy obsession and unrequited love that ultimately led to psychotic behavior and total derailment."

The song appears on Acronyms EP, Make Out EP, and LANY’s self-titled debut album. LANY also released a stripped version of “ILYSB,” featured on the second EP and the Live In Los Angeles music video.
