Baby, I’m Jealous

Baby, I’m Jealous

Bebe Rexha (Ft. Doja Cat)

“Baby, I’m Jealous” is the first single of Bebe Rexha’s second album Better Mistakes. The song is about how the artist felt when she found out that her boyfriend was liking pictures of other girls on Instagram. Bebe talked about how the song came about and the Doja Cat feature in an interview with Radio Disney.

The inspiration was based on a real story. I got caught up on Instagram and I was dating this one guy and I thought he was doing some shady stuff on the Internet and I kind of got jealous of the girls that he liked the pictures of and I got really upset and I went to the studio and my collaborator Justin Tranter was there and I was like “Justin this is what’s going on” and I’m just really upset. He was like “First of all, being jealous is okay, let’s write a song about it so that we make it empowering for people and for girls all over” […] So we wrote the song and sent it over to Doja Cat and spoke to her […] and she killed it. […] It’s been fun and effortless from the start.

The song marks the first collaboration between Bebe Rexha and Doja Cat. It debuted at #58 in the Billboard Charts.

The record was first teased on Instagram on the 5th of October, three days before the official release.
