GOOBA

6ix9ine

“GOOBA” is the first single from Brooklyn rapper 6ix9ine since his infamous September 2019 testimony in the case of United States vs. Nine Trey Bloods. The track comes just weeks after his April 2020 compassionate early release due to the 2020 SARS-CoV-2 outbreak in America.

On the track, 6ix9ine addresses many of the people who negatively commented on how he dealt with his charges in the aforementioned court case and his early release.

Rumors of the track first began on April 29, 2020 when it was confirmed that Tekashi sought and received permission from federal judges to shoot a music video in the backyard of his residence. On May 7, 2020, billboards in Times Square confirmed the release of an upcoming single the next day, which ended up being “GOOBA.”

The song broke the record of most viewed hip-hop video within 24 hours, which was previously set by Eminem.
