In the second song written for his Little Hurt project, Colin Dieden battles the anxieties of his past experiances that dredge up pain by dreaming of what it would be like to leave everything he knows and start over, start a new life. Alaska is used as his destination of choice because it represents the lesser of two evils, he can either deal with the snow in Alaska, which he’s certainly got some disdain for, or he can continue living in the pain of his past, in the song he picks Alaska, it’s not perfect, but it’s better than where he is now.
