Roscoe Dash had recorded this song by himself in his basement, when he was known as “ShadowFade”.
He then came across the Travis Porter rap group, through his cousin YT. Roscoe Dash let them listen to the track and let them include it on their mixtape, “I’m a Differenter”. Roscoe Dash was only featured on it as “ShadowFade” and felt he was not getting the full credit he deserved. This led to a clash between Roscoe Dash and Travis Porter. Roscoe Dash then realized he needed a new identity from “ShadowFade”, hence “Roscoe Dash” was created. Roscoe Dash then recorded “All the way Turnt up” with Soulja Boy, which turned into a club hit and led to him being signed by Interscope.
