We Gonna Make It

We Gonna Make It

Jadakiss (Ft. Styles P)

“We Gonna Make It” was released as a single from Jada’s debut solo album Kiss tha Game Goodbye and featured a back-and-forth with his LOX teammate Styles P. The Alchemist sampled a section of Samuel Jonathan Johnson’s 1978 track “My Music” for the beat, which was involved in some controversy.

Al shopped the beat to different artists, claiming a deal with Nas fell through before his publicized issue around only getting half the money from a deal with Ras Kass, who used the beat for his track “Home Sweet Home” before “We Gonna Make It” came out. The single peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart and the remix for “We Gonna Make It” featured fellow Ruff Ryder Eve.
