Blue Sky is the second single from Common’s 9th studio album, The Dreamer, The Believer. Its theme is inspirational and motivational, containing multiple references to dreams, God and overcoming obstacles.

The song was produced by No I.D. and samples Electric Light Orchestra’s 1977 song, “Mr. Blue Sky”. Additional vocals were provided by Makeba.
