“Contradiction” is the opening theme for the action anime The God of High School, an adaptation of the Korean manhwa by Park Yong-Je. The story follows Jin Mori, a young martial artist who enters the God of High School Martial Arts tournament, a competition where the victor gets any desire they want granted. As the story progresses it becomes clear that the ulterior motive behind the martial arts tournament is something more sinister.

The song was performed by Japanese producer KSUKE and American singer Tyler Carter, mostly known as the frontman of the band Issues.
