“Round of Applause” is an uptempo twerk song; its title derived from twerking (“Make that ass clap”) rather than someone clapping their hands. The song debuted at 97th on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at 86 in December 2011. This isn’t Waka’s first twerk song to achieve commercial success—his August 2010 release, “No Hands” achieved triple platinum RIAA certification.

“Round of Applause” is currently Waka and Drake’s only released collaboration.
