The release of this song follows Rich Brian going public with his relationship with his girlfriend Vanntey Heng. Heng was initially just a big fan of Brians, however, the two eventually met and sometime after a romance blossomed leading to our beloved Brian becoming a taken man. Prior to this songs release, Brian had teased a new song in the Asia Rising virtual concert, however, it wasn’t Love in My Pocket. Thus, many fans were surprised. Nevertheless, Brian still came through for his fans in this upbeat and love filled song.
