The song deals with Alastor the Radio Demon, a character in “Hazbin Hotel”, an animation pilot uploaded to YouTube by Vivziepop on October 28th, 2019 that has gained a large fanbase. Alastor is daring the listener to sell their soul to him so as to enslave them in the afterlife as he is an Overlord of Hell.

The song uses the talents of Sam Haft as the voice for Alastor whereas the character in the pilot was voiced by Edward Bosco and his singing voice was provided by Gabriel C. Brown.
