“The Parables” is the second single from Cordae’s upcoming second studio album and first album after leaving the YBN imprint. On the song, Cordae tells “parables,” or short stories from his lifetime that have brought him to be the man with the values he has today.

The track was first teased on July 19, 2020 by Travis Scott on Episode 12, or Season 2 Episode 1, of his Apple Music Beats1 radio show .WAV RADIO. It was then previewed further on November 19, 2020 in a Beats by Dre commercial, just days before its official release, featuring Cordae’s girlfriend, professional tennis player Naomi Osaka.
