“Last Dance” was written by Paul Jabara and featured on the soundtrack to the 1978 film “Thank God It’s Friday” (which starred Donna).

The song peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, #5 on Billboard’s R&B chart and topped Billboard’s dance chart.

“Last Dance” won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for “Best Original Song”, as well as a Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. It was certified Gold with sales of a million units.
