“Been Thru” is the second single released by YNW Bortlen, following his September 2018 song, “Came From”. This song is Bortlen’s first single after he was released on bond in May 2020 after being locked up and charged with 2 counts of first-degree murder in 2019.

The song describes YNW Bortlen’s time in jail and goes into depth about him watching the death of his two close friends, YNW Juvy and YNW SakChaser. He also describes how quickly he switched from a jail cell to diamonds and money on a medium-tempo beat.
