The English version of “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)” is the closing track of NCT 2020 : RESONANCE Pt. 1, wrapping the album up with the same song the present opened with. It features long-time members Doyoung, Taeyong, Jaehyun, Jaemin, Lucas, Xiaojun and brand-new member Shotaro.

While the Korean rendition of the song focuses on a more dreamy, magical theme and only explicitly mentions a birthday party in the outro, the English version emphasizes it non-stop with various different comfort foods. This duality bares a slight resemblance to NCT subunit WayV’s Chinese-language “Bad Alive” that was later followed up with an English version presenting a different story.
