This song plays homage to all the black sitcom moms that molded me growing up as a kid in the inner city. From Clair Huxtable on The Cosby Show, to Dee on Moesha, to dark skin Aunt Viv on Fresh Prince to Lisa on Sister Sister, these black women were the pinnacle of style and grace and examples of the beautiful, brilliant black woman I aspire to be to this day.
