Town bully Henry Bowers attacks Ben with his two nameless minions, mercilessly mocking the new kid for his weight. He proceeds to tickle Ben so violently that Ben begins to bleed. (In the film, Henry takes out his knife and cuts his name into Ben’s stomach, but there are no weapons in this musical.)
