This song was first previewed on November 14, 2019 by OG Donn, a near friend of Juice WRLD and later previewed again by OG Don and Carlton McDowell, the producer of the track and close friend of Juice WRLD.

In early 2021, OG Donn direct messaged a Juice WRLD fanpage to remove a post made of this song to avoid it leaking, which helps hints towards an official release with Carlton for this song.

Later on January 24th, 2021, Carlton confirmed the track name to be Double R’s/ Double R’s With Dark Tints. This comes after fans presumed the name to be “For A Bargain/ Mr. Martian”.

On January 3rd, 2024, an account by the name of “juicesnippets” played the song on an Instagram live. The track leaked later the same day.
