Chinatown is the first release from Bleachers' third album expected to be released in late 2020 or early 2021, marking their first release of the year and the first release in two years and a half (since 2018’s Love, Simon Soundtrack)

The song was previewed and sourced from the Bleachers “hotline"—a phone number that Jack tweeted out a few days before its release, in which with the right combination of digits, a snippet was played.

The official version features “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen.

Jack also tweeted a photo of the “Welcome to New Jersey” shirt he wears in the music video.
