On “Brother’s Keeper,” DaBaby opens up on his feelings in the wake of losing his 34-year old brother Glenn Johnson to gunshot wounds reportedly related to a suicide attempt. Johnson, who passed away on November 3, 2020, was survived by his son and three daughters.

DaBaby almost immediately took to Instagram to express his grief on the same day as Johnson’s passing, posting photos from his VOTE BABY VOTE election campaign across North Carolina with the caption “🖤.”

Baby first teased this track with a minute-long snippet posted to Instagram on November 18, 2020, just over two weeks after his brother’s passing, captioned:
