A break from the perfection of Cudi’s rhythmic wordplay throughout the album, “Erase Me” offers him the chance to be a lounge singer relaying the perils of the “famous rapper.” Kanye’s interjection of swift dialog and faster paced rapping offers a break from Scott’s more dramatic tone.

The song offers an insight into the women that the rap game brings to the artists. Even though the women know it’s a “new nightmare” and the artist feels “a bit complete” it is doomed from the start.
