Throughout Sickology 101, during skits and non-musical intros/outros, Tech alludes to a hip-hop group called the 816 Boyz. Tech shows distaste for the group because they supposedly won a Grammy for their hit single “Areola,” while Tech writes his heart out and never gets enough credit for his work. At the end of the album, a bootlegger makes Tech and his crew listen to the single. The 816 Boyz are composed of Tech, Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, and Makzilla, and their hit single glorifies the beauty that is a woman’s breast.

816 Boyz is a parody group satirically dissing the fact that artists like Tech N9ne can make great, meaningful music, but stupid party anthems are the only music that people get any praise for. “Areola” is a bonus track on Sickology 101.
