90s kids

Kid Quill

Kid Quill is a genre-bender, not quite fitting into the “rap” or “pop” labels. He starts off the song with a reminder of the 90s right away–unlike now, where we listen to hit singles or curated playlists, Quill’s generation is one of CD’s & full albums, something his older neighbors might appreciate even if it’s not their style.

This song is an attempt at an anthem for a generation of 90s “kids” who are now in their late 20s and 30s, a lot of whom feel stuck or impatient as they navigate the difficulties of growing up. So, sick of the hypocrisy & well-intentioned instruction we’ve grown up with, we have fun, fucking party, forget our responsibilities, and worry tomorrow.
