“Caught In a Mosh” was ranked #29 on VH1’s The 40 greatest metal songs list.

The song details Scott Ian’s frustration with different situations, likened to being stuck in the ‘most metal of situations’ – the mosh-pit. Apparently, the inspiration for the song came from an instance when Ian’s guitar tech injured his back in a mosh-pit. When asked what happened he replied, “I got caught in a mosh”.
