Love Hangover

Love Hangover

Diana Ross

“Love Hangover” was written by Marilyn McLeod and Pamela Sawyer & produced by Hal Davis.

In 1975, Hal recorded the instrumental track to the song, thinking that the song would be good for either Marvin Gaye or Diana Ross to record it and in the end, he decided to record the song with Diana because he though that her voice would sound sexier on it.

“Love Hangover” became a hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in 1976. It also peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Soul Singles chart.

A version by the 5th Dimension was released on the same day, peaking at #80.

The song earned Diana a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Vocal Performance.
