“Balloon Boy No Hoax” is a firsthand account of the “balloon boy hoax” that occurred in Colorado in October 2009. Singer Falcon Heene, who was 6 years old at the time, was claimed to have floated away inside a homemade gas balloon. The balloon was pursued by National Guard and local police only to find that Falcon was not inside. Later in the day, Falcon was found hiding in the attic of his home, where he had apparently been the entire time. Though the incident is widely believed to have been a hoax, the Heene family continues to maintain that it was not.
