“I Will Love You More” was originally written by Allie Hughes and Steven McKay in 2010, and intended for Allie’s then-upcoming album The Hard Way.

After the album was scrapped in 2011, the song was reworked for Allie’s ALX project. It was released as a single in early 2012 with an accompanying music video, as the first official ALX release.
