“CHICKEN TENDIES” is Clinton’s first single in 2021, following up the release of the November 2020 single “remember the mornings.” In the song, Clinton opens up about his shattered relationship with his mother, of which he lost to her strong devotion to God.

The song was first teased as a “lil idea” in October 20, 2020 on his TikTok, then was followed with another preview of the chorus in a stripped down format 2 weeks after.

On December 10, 2020, Clinton shared a snippet of the song with the caption: “haven’t leaked a song in forever so here we are.” Ironically, he leaked the entire song on an Instagram livestream just weeks before its release.

After 4 months of continuously building up the song’s release, the long-awaited fan favorite was finally slated for a February release,
