The 1996 NBA Draft took place on June 26, 1996, in East Rutherford, New Jersey at 7:30 PM ET.

The draft is considered the second best draft in NBA history behind the 1984 draft which gave the league greats such as Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael, Jordan, Charles Barkley, and John Stockton.

The 1996 NBA draft notables include: Allen Iverson, Marcus Camby, Ray Allen, Kobe Bryant, and Steve Nash. Also worth noting Ben Wallace came into the league in 1996 undrafted, and would go on to become a 4-time Defensive Player of the Year.
