The pop-beat power ballad regards the singers' struggles to triumph over societal pressures. Fischer has described it as a “confession,” the anxieties of losing one’s individuality for the sake of being well-liked. In the lyric video, Lovato and Fischer are characters of a Guess Who?-like board game with Fischer and Lovato’s face resembling cards for different emotions.
