iann dior and Trippie Redd reconnect on “shots in the dark“ – the sequel to their July 2019 hit “gone girl“ – a melodic track which finds the pair singing about their troubled loves.

The track was first previewed with a now-deleted snippet in late January 2021. On February 26, iann tweeted out a line from the chorus, further teasing its release:

Now I’m taking shots in the dark 🖤🖤

A final preview was seen on March 10, 2021 through iann’s Instagram, before the track found its place on his two track EP Still Here on April 16, 2021.
