“Adventure Is Out There” is a lazy day vibe, searching for the glimmer of a rainbow on a rainy day. Using layman’s speech, AJR looks to new horizons to escape the mundane everyday life and chase adventure, which they’re convinced their missing socks help them find.

The titular phrase is sampled from the 2008 Pixar movie Up — it’s the catchphrase of the hero-turned villain Charles Muntz. This song was originally intended to feature on their third studio album Neotheater as “Socks,” but got “cut at the last second” because the album had enough songs already. The band renamed and rebranded the track to include it on OK ORCHESTRA.
