Verdansk

Verdansk

Dave

“Verdansk” is the second cut from Dave’s sophomore album We’re All Alone In This Together, and is arguably the most highly anticipated track on the project. Dave first previewed the track a year prior, on 29 June 2020, on his Instagram Story to a wide demand.

Fans speculated it to never drop, however Dave started to tease the release in early 2021 through Twitter by liking the tweets of fans who posted the preview and demanded the song – further adding speculation that it’s coming. He officially announced it on the 14th of July through the track list reveal.

Making numerous Call of Duty: Warzone references such as Bouncing Betty’s and the Verdansk map – the theme coincides with the lyrics as Dave speaks on he and his friends' reputation when it comes to “war” against their enemies, whilst throwing out cheeky nods to his female counterparts and even how rich his mother is.

He released a remix of the track as a single on the 8th of September, which was also accompanied with a music video paying homage to Call of Duty games across the years, an additional verse as well as an alternate version album cover for the artwork. The single version of this track was titled “Verdansk (Survival Mode)”.
