This song is about letting go of an unhealthy relationship. The title of the song; “Congratulations” is rather sarcastic as it essentially implies that one member in the relationship is congratulating the other member on “winning the breakup” although there really is no real winner in a breakup as both sides are usually left distraught and disheartened when all is said and done.
