This track was released with another single, Stay Behind, on March 5, 2021, to build hype for the upcoming Mother Mother album, Inside.

Before that, on February 26th, they posted a video on their TikTok account with someone pointing a pen at the date March 5, as their way of notifying fans something was coming.

On March 8, Mother Mother posted a Tiktok video asking their fans to submit short, 30-second clips to be included in the music video, doing pretty much whatever. The deadline was March 13. Fast forward to April 8, and the official music video was premiered on their YouTube channel.

Soon after this, they began their #igotlovefor challenge on April 14, with further fan participation; this time, they would be posting something about a thing or person they “got love for” on whatever platform they have with the hashtag #igotlovefor. This was prompted by a video that was sent in to them, and is shown at the end of the music video.
