“CHAINS” is the lead single off of ZillaKami’s long awaited debut project. The song was recorded some time in late 2020, and was later previewed on January 26, 2021, during a shoot for its music video.

The track had initially been given the working title “BIG CHAINS,” and an unknown guest artist was to feature on the track, as shown in a November 2020 Instagram story. Zilla later confirmed that “CHAINS” would be making an appearance on his solo tape during a January 2021 Instagram live stream.

An early demo of the track was recorded and previewed by Zilla at Trakhaus Recordings, NYC on November 30, 2017, with a different instrumental and lyrics.
