UEFA Champions League (Ft. Manchester United FC & Real Madrid CF)

In what is widely considered as one of the greatest Champions League games of all time, Manchester United and Real Madrid battled it out for a place in the semi finals.

With the final being held at Old Trafford, this one had real significance to the home side who had to overcome a 3-1 Defeat from the 1st leg.

The game is remembered for it’s outstanding end to end football with everything from John O'Shea nutmegging Figo and a volley from McMannaman that went backwards!

It notably featured one of the greatest hat tricks ever by Ronaldo. His fine display saw even the United supporters in the stadium applaud him as he was substituted.

Post Match, Sir Alex Ferguson:

The key was keeping them out – and we simply couldn’t do it.
