“Starstruck” is the lead single from Years & Years' third album, Night Call.

The single marks the first song of Years & Years as a solo act. The band originally announced their split on 18 March 2021, with Emre Turkmen and Mikey Goldsworthy leaving the group to focus on their respective personal lives and Olly Alexander staying on as the only member of the project.

The following day, Alexander posted a short video to his social media accounts, teasing new music and a snippet featuring the lyrics “I can’t help it”.

On 23 March 2021, the song’s title and artwork were officially announced, with the track releasing a few weeks later, on 8 April.
