On “Alone With Me” Hopsin has an honest conversation with himself and reflects back on his career, love life, family and relationships.

Theme of suicide is present throughout the whole song and Hopsin uses it as a metaphor to “kill-off” a previous version of himself and his lifestyle, which can be seen at the end of the music video where Hopsin pulls the pin out of grenade and hands it to the previous version of himself.

The song was announced on March 18 2021, when Hopsin posted a snippet of the song on his Instagram saying:

New video dropping this Monday at 9am pacific! This is probably my favorite video I’ve ever done, by far. You’re gonna like this one.

The day before the song’s release he posted again saying that he’s dropping “a crazy song and an even crazier video”.
