Evanescence covered Across The Universe during their Summer 2018 Synthesis Live tour in tribute to Amy Lee’s brother, Robby Lee, as he was a huge fan of the Beatles and passed away at the beginning of 2018.

A studio version was recorded in late 2019. This version was released on the bonus CD of the deluxe box set of The Bitter Truth.

The cover song was digitally released to purchase and stream on December 17, 2021. The single cover art is a painting by Tim Cantor.
