Lil Baby and Lil Durk open The Voice of the Heroes up with its title track, opening track, and lead single, “Voice of the Heroes.” The two artists rap about their respective upbringings and the obstacles that they had to overcome along with the problems that they faced. The song was released only two and a half hours after its announcement.

The official music video, directed by DAPS, was released along with the song on May 31, 2021.
