Described as one of Florence Welch’s “favorite songs ever”, the 1986 single “You Got the Love” by the Source was covered by Florence and the Machine as “You’ve Got the Love.”

The song first released as the B-Side of Dog Days Are Over in 2008, but after the success of the song, the song re-released as the fifth single from their debut album, Lungs in 2009.

President Obama included “You’ve Got the Love” on his 2012 official Spotify campaign playlist. It was also featured in the Gossip Girl’s series finale.
