As the main character continues in his mid-life crisis fantasies, he begins to dream of leading a life in a rural retreat with the woman he has been thinking about since the beginning of the album, and this fantasy is mixed with the reality of his relationship with his wife. However, as the song goes on he begins to realise the flaws in his dream and ends any hope for himself, as eventually the real relationship ends with his wife.
