Over a delicate plucking synth beat, Billie covers various sensitive subjects including stalkers, a growing sense of responsibility, personal revelations, and past trauma. Billie varies the use of her voice, with a soft, quiet tone and yodeling-like vocals.

Prior to the album’s release, the song’s lyrics were teased in Billie’s cover of the July 2021 issue of Rolling Stone Magazine.
