“M.I.A.” sees Miles singing about wanting to runaway with his girl and go missing, while also wanting to spend the rest of his life with her.

The song was first previewed on May 28, 2021, when Miles shared a short snippet of the song during the beginning of episode 2 of his YouTube series, WHOLE LOTTA LIFE. Miles also shares bits of studio sessions of the song.

On August 9, 2021, Miles shared another snippet of the song during episode 6 of WHOLE LOTTA LIFE, along with sharing more bits of the studio session.

On August 11, 2022, Miles took to Instagram to reveal the song’s music video, directed by Nicholas Jandora, as well as announcing that the song would be dropping the next day.
