In late June 2021, he posted a series of pictures and a video on various social media platforms, along with a caption of a website and a time, leading fans to believe that he was releasing a single the next day. The song was released, and Luke also announced his first solo album, When Facing the Things We Turn Away From, to be released on August 13.
