“Conqueror” is the second single off of Estelle’s fourth studio album True Romance (2015).

The song is a message of triumph and a testament to Estelle believing in herself when no one else would. In an interview for VH1 she said:

The song is about getting back on your feet when you feel like you’ve been knocked over. Everyone goes through those moments and this is the kind of record that celebrates when you’re back on your shit.

“Conqueror” was featured in the 2014 film Addicted and also appeared on Fox’s smash hit show Empire which Estelle also guest starred on, with a new version recorded alongside Jussie Smollett.

It peaked #42 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #15 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

The Urban Radio Mix of the song was released as a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
